Java Technology

Projects run by members of the World Wide Web Instructional Committee use a number of Java API's and JRE's. Though projects in the past have run under Java 1.0.2 and Java 1.1, WWWIC has begun developing next generation Java applications that utilize the latest Java technologies such as the Java 1.3 JRE, Java3D, Java Servlets, JDBC, and Java WebStart. The use of these technologies will allow WWWIC to better develop cross-browser, cross-platform, and networked applications for the classroom and beyond. WWWIC has even become an Apple Seed beta testing group so that it is better equiped to accomplish this goal.
